Tools > LC match

           The LC matching circuit design. The window consists of five main parts

• Main menu.
• Groupbox Source.
• Groupbox Matching section.
• Groupbox Load.
• Control panel.

 

• File - common commands.
  • Save – save results in the file.
  • Print – print results.
  • Exit – close and return to main Tools window.
• Service
  • Calculator – On-screen calculator.
• Help - help.

 

This area displays the source parameters.

• Rout – standard R.
• Frequency   – frequency.
• Power – power.
• VSWR – VSWR after matching section included.

 

The load (antenna) parameters are displayed in this area. Any antenna calculation performed in the main window will automatically update the R and jX values shown here.

• R – real part of the load impedance.
• JX – reactive part of the load impedance.
• Match loss – losses in the match unit. Window has coloured background, if losses are high.
• Power – power in the load.
• VSWR – VSWR of the load.
• Efficiency – of the matching section. The Window’s background is coloured if the efficiency is low.

 

Circuit the matching unit with calculated values.

• This area displays the circuit components of the LC matching section and the voltage at its input and output.
• In the line Vp displays: current, voltage and coplex (real + reactive parts) power in the parallel element.
• In the line Vs displays: current, voltage and coplex (real + reactive parts) power in the serial element.
• Buttons 1,2,3,4 select different matching sections. The load’s characteristics dictate the number of matching sections that will be available.
• QL – sets quality factor of the inductor(s).
• QC – sets quality factor of the capacitor(s).

 

• Tune – Starts the calculation.
• Set as match – inserts calculated LC match into model of the antenna in the main window
• Frequency plot – opens the frequency plot window.
